What is BERTA test bench?

BERTA Test Bench is a safe and reliable equipment for carrying out tests on speed governors and automatic voltage regulators, including the power system stabilizers, on running alternators.

The test bench can be portable or permanently installed and consists of:

  • A high-performance real-time simulator
  • Electronic signal conditioning units serving as a hardware interface between the simulator and the alternator
  • Sophisticated software applications powered by RT-LAB™, the OPAL-RT Technologies simulator operating software
  • A host computer for test control
  • A graphic communication interface between the host computer and the real-time simulator
