We are the corporation that owns the BERTA™ , and that belongs to Marc Langevin

Marc Langevin, President and creator of BERTA Test Bench for Regulators, Turbines and Alternators

Marc Langevin is an engineer who specializes in power system analysis.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal and a doctorate in engineering from École Centrale de Lyon.

He has over forty years of experience in power system analysis at Hydro-Québec and Hydro-Québec International, at OPAL-RT Technologies, and as a consultant in private practice:

  • Extensive testing of speed governors and voltage regulators in power plants worldwide, using BERTA test bench
  • He spearheaded improvements in the stability of Hydro-Québec’s network. He also developed new settings strategies for speed governors and power system stabilizers at Hydro-Québec.
  • BERTA & Langevin uses RT-LAB™ from OPAL-RT Technologies, Matlab™ from MathWorks® and LabVIEW™ from National Instruments®.

OUR BUSINESS PARTNERS

OPAL-RT Technologies is the supplier of BERTA Test Bench equipment and the RT-LAB™ real-time operation software that powers BERTA applications.
